Officina dell’Ambiente will take part in Rome, from 25 to 26 October, at the second edition of Asphaltica World, a convention and exhibition event promoted by SITEB and Veronafiere, entirely dedicated to the world of asphalt and waterproofing.

We will be present with a stand in the exhibition area (# Q15) to present our range of recycled aggregates, the new green applications dedicated to the production of bituminous conglomerates and the results of laboratory tests and test fields Matrix Inside .

Officina dell’Ambiente is therefore fully entitled to participate actively in this green revolution of  roads constructions .  Workshops at Asphaltica World will deal with all these topics extensively .

The opening seminar on the 25th October will be: CODE OF CONTRACTS AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY and will be divided into a morning session (“Procurement Code, and OEPV: how the road works contract evolves”) and in an afternoon session (“Innovation and sustainability on the road to the Circular Economy “).

The first session will deal with the Procurement Code and the criteria for the awarding of public works. Experts on the subject and professionals in the sector will highlight the aspects on which it will be necessary to intervene to make the technical and administrative management of public road works contracts more efficient. The art. 34 of the Procurement Code will be recalled on the Minimum Environmental Criteria to guarantee the achievement of the PA sustainability objectives . These criteria are widely met by Matrix, the only artificial aggregate in Europe with EPD certification.

During the afternoon session, we will discuss Circular Economy, a theme that Officina dell’Ambiente has always interpreted through the complete recovery of the artificial aggregates in different sectors of construction industry.

In a Circular Economy perspective, the Roads will also take on an important role, leading to a technological innovation in the sector, above all for the environmental issues.

During the seminar, introduced by the former Minister of the Environment Edo Ronchi (president of the Sustainable Development Foundation of which we are Members), we will talk about roads intended as possible recovery destinations for milled products and alternative products like ours. During the session a round table will be organized and a joint study by the Sustainable Development Foundation and SITEB will be presented, dedicated to scenarios for green and circular roads.
